WEB Tamayo Perry, the world-renowned big-wave surfer and lifeguard who rose to fame as an actor in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, has tragically passed away at the age of 49. On June 23, 2024, Perry was reportedly attacked by a shark while surfing off the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Born in 1975, Perry grew up on the beaches of Oahu and became a local celebrity for his surfing prowess and dedication to water safety. As a lifeguard for the Honolulu Ocean Safety division, he had served his community for eight years.
